Here's the «original» version of Terminator 2, before the James Cameron helmed sequel. The original Terminator was a surprise success back in 1984, with the sci-fi action movie focusing on a cyborg sent back in time to murder the mother of the future's human resistance leader. Cameron's propulsive action and storytelling made The Terminator an effective melding of action and horror, and its the movie that made Arnold Schwarzenegger a movie star. In the years before Terminator 2: Judgment Day arrived, Arnie evolved into one of the biggest stars in the world thanks to hits like Predator and Twins.
Cameron also made more sci-fi classics like Aliens, and the duo finally reunited in 1991 for Terminator 2 — where Arnie had a problem with Cameron's plan. The sequel was a landmark in terms of visual effects and setpieces and it remains one of the best blockbusters ever produced. A major reason it worked, however, was the connection viewers made with the characters. This included Arnie's new T-800 model learning what it means to be human, resulting in a tear-jerking finale.

Notable examples include Strike Commando — a thinly veiled riff on Rambo - or Cruel Jaws, which is billed as the fifth Jaws movie in some countries and recycles footage from that franchise. The late Bruno Mattei was behind both those projects, with the prolific filmmaker also helming 1989's Shocking Dark — AKATerminator 2.
