We’re still recovering from the fact that this coming Sunday will arrive without the inclusion of a new episode for The Last of Us. That series adaptation was truly remarkable and beat the odds. Typically adaptations from video games are not that great, but HBO’s take on The Last of Us showed just how incredible of a narrative journey the developers at Naughty Dog crafted. Thanks to a report from Yahoo, we’re finding that The Last of Us season one will arrive in the marketplace for DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K this summer. This will allow you to secure a copy of the show into your physical collection to watch at your leisure. We’re not sure if anything notable will be added to these physical editions. If you recall, there was a podcast companion series that went along with each episode of the show. Viewers could tune into the series after the episode aired to get a bit more insight into the episode and filming production. Perhaps this might be another feature added to the physical editions of the season, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Likewise, we know that the digital version of the series will be coming on April 11, 2023, so if you don’t mind not having the physical edition of the show but rather keeping your content digitally, you’ll get the season next month. With such a massively hit series, there are bound to be quite a few fans that are eager to pick up the series for their collection. Furthermore, because of so much chatter online regarding the season, it might sway those who don’t have access to HBO to pick up the season as well.
