The next free Epic Games Store title has been confirmed.
Unrailed, a co-op multiplayer game which challenges players to build a train track across endless procedurally generated worlds, will be free to claim from Epic’s PC marketplace from August 4-11.
It will replace Lawn Mowing Simulator, which is now free to download until August 4.
Lawn Mowing Simulator was released in August 2021 and the PC version, which currently costs $14.99 / £11.99 on Steam, has a Metacritic score of 69.
“Experience the beauty and detail of mowing the Great British countryside in Lawn Mowing Simulator, the only simulator that allows you to ride an authentic and expansive roster of real-world licensed lawn mowers from prestigious manufacturers as you manage your business,” reads the game’s product description.
The Epic Games Store gave away 89 free titles last year (down from 103 in 2020), with a combined worth of $2,120. According to Epic, users claimed over 765 million free games in 2021.
Earlier today Amazon confirmed the next batch of ‘free’ titles set to be offered to Prime Gaming members.
Included with an Amazon Prime subscription, Prime Gaming offers members new PC titles to keep and exclusive in-game content each month.
August’s free games will be StarCraft: Remastered, Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, Beasts of Maravilla Island, Recompile, ScourgeBringer and Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises.
