The tragic events of "Death of the Justice League" will be expanded upon in a new line of Dark Crisis one-shots from DC Comics. Focused on the loss of each individual member of the Justice League who died, the comics will be tributes to the World's Greatest Superheroes created by a «who's who» of comics legends.
The Great Darkness is coming to the DC Universe, and the next generation of superheroes is left to defend their planet and the whole universe from the terrible Dark Crisis that is upon them. The creators behind the upcoming Dark Crisis, like the main series writer Joshua Williamson, have assured fans that this will not just be a «doom and gloom» crisis, but a story about legacy, hope, and redemption, with both legacy characters and newer generations of heroes needing to step up to fill the holes left by the loss of the Justice League.

Written by Joshua Williamson with stunning art by Daniel Sampere, Dark Crisis has been building for months now, and the «Death of the Justice League» in Justice League #75 is just the start of what looks to be the biggest DC crossover event in years. While bits and pieces of the Dark Crisis event have been revealed over the past several weeks, DC Comics is now giving an early treat to fans with a sneak peak at the first seven pages of Dark Crisis #1 which will be available on the upcoming Free Comic Book Day (May 7), followed by Justice League: Road to Dark Crisis which will debut on May 31. Beyond that, the Death of the Justice League ramifications will be explored in a series of one-shots titled Dark Crisis: Worlds Without a Justice League, with five issues
