The post-apocalyptic MMO shooter The Day Before has resurfaced after over a month of total silence.
A couple of days ago, Russian developer Fntastic invited fans to check out the game's version of a 'post-apocalyptic Spa'. In the brief new video, we can see the player character entering a hot sauna, which prompts the following in-game description:
Pleasant hot water in the sauna and refreshing warm steam floating in the air contribute to recuperation, increased endurance, and complete relaxation of the body and soul.
After roughly twenty seconds, the game sends a notice that the player character's stamina has been increased, presumably for a temporary period of time.
As you may recall, The Day Before was supposed to be released on March 1st, 2023 (after a nine-month delay reportedly due to the developers' decision to switch to Unreal Engine 5). However, in late January, we learned of another delay to November because of an ongoing trademark dispute, which led Steam to temporarily delist The Day Before. A couple of days later, Fntastic admitted that the delay would have come anyway and asked fans to sit tight while the game was under development.
Following the insistent requests of fans (The Day Before is one of the most wishlisted games on Steam), the developers shared a ten-minute-long gameplay video in early February. However, that didn't help much when it comes to answering many of the questions that still linger about this game. Meanwhile, the trademark dispute is still ongoing.
