Amazon Prime Video’s hit series, The Boys, parodies The Batman with posters featuring an appropriately obscene gesture (among other things). Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series of the same name, The Boys takes place in a deranged, albeit true-to-life world where superheroes have embraced celebrity status and, more often than not, are the equivalent of corrupt politicians. The series satirizes well-known Marvel and DC superheroes like Captain America, Superman, and, of course, Batman.
The Boys follows Hughie Campbell, Billy Butcher, and their eponymous group who have been wronged by superheroes, or “Supes.” Its first two seasons saw them seek to expose Vought International, its use of Compound V, and The Seven—which are essentially the Justice League. Its cast includes Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Claudia Doumit, and Colby Minifie. Season 3 is set to feature newcomers Katia Winter as Little Nina and Jensen Ackles as Solider Boy. As The Batman lays siege to the box office, The Boys has decided to capitalize on the hype.

The Boys’ official Twitter account dropped a series of posters featuring characters from the show and mocking Batman. For example, Kimiko flashes an obscene gesture in place of Robert Pattinson’s Batman for «The Female,» Frenchie is front and center on a poster reminiscent of Batman: The Animated Series and Mother’s Milk does his best Michael Keaton impersonation.
