In The Boys comic book series, there's little question that Homelander is the most terrifying Supe in the world, but even he feared the real villain of the story: James Sitwell. Throughout the series, Homelander is able to intimidate and scare everyone he encounters, except for the stoic high-ranking executive of Vought-American. In The Boys comic book by Garth Ennis, Russ Braun, John McCrea, Keith Burns, Simon Bowland, Tony Avina, and Darick Robertson, Homelander does as he pleases, as the Superman pastiche secretly terrorizes the world the public believes he's actually protecting. Whether he's manipulating his fellow Supes, killing innocent people for the fun of it, or just being a horrible person altogether, Homelander proves that he's one of the most terrifying villains throughout the series. However, Homelander isn't the real ultimate villain of The Boys, as he fears James Stillwell, who doesn't have powers and isn't afraid of him at all.

In The Boys, James Stillwell has one of the most challenging jobs on the planet, tasked with keeping Vought-American's image in the public's good books while directing The Seven.
