Quick-thinking Nintendo Switch puzzler Tetris 99 is still going strong, and has been tasking platoons of players to bust their blocks with speed, precision, and efficiency ever since its surprise launch back in the winter of 2019. In fact, the title is about to celebrate with its 29th Maximus Cup: online tournaments themed around great Nintendo titles and their respective superstars. This time around, it is the turn of Nintendo’s beloved pink puffball Kirby, with a new Tetris 99 theme based on recent smash hit release Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Players will have a small window with which to bag a fun-size bag of in-game content relating to our boy’s first-ever fully 3D escapade. The Maximus Cup is offering new wallpapers, music, and exclusive Tetrimino designs reflective of Kirby’s new game, all of which are sure to make your Tetris 99 experience 358% cuter.
All you need do is jump on Tetris 99 between Friday, April 22 and Monday, April 25 and then earn yourself a total of 100 Event Points, (a goal achievable by almost everybody). The funky Kirby content will be added to your Tetris 99 account. The event is only running for this coming weekend, so be sure to jump on and grab the goodies!
Tetris 99 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are available right now on Nintendo Switch.
The #Tetris99 29th MAXIMUS CUP event will run from 4/22 at 12am PT – 4/25 at 11:59pm PT!
