Yet another video game-based Wordle clone has emerged to test players’ knowledge of iconic gaming soundtracks, this one centered around identifying tunes from the Kirby franchise. Wordle has become the new mobile craze since it was released last year, as players try to guess a certain word in as few attempts as possible — with a new puzzle being introduced every day. This proves to be easier said than done, and Wordle’s addictive gameplay has even caught the attention of the developers of games like Payday 2 due to certain answers bringing their games to mind.
Naturally, there have been several clones of Wordle in the wake of the original game, but many of these are decried as cheap attempts to cash in on the newest fad. However, some of these Wordle imitators are fun enough in their own rights, such as the Fortnite-themed Fortle, which tests players’ knowledge of Epic’s massively successful battle royale hit and the various updates to it over the years. There is also Moviedle, which has players identifying movies from clips, and even Antiwordle — which requires users to get the wrong answers instead of the right ones. Lastly, Heardle has players figuring out songs instead of words, including the iconic soundtracks to various fighting games like Street Fighter and Tekken.
