A new gameplay trailer has been released for Tekken 8, and the focus this time is on Jin Kazama, and the video is a bit of a family affair with Jin facing off against his dad, Kazuya. It could be revenge after Kazuya was shown to be beating Jin up in his gameplay reveal trailer from last week. In the fight you see Jin use a combo of punches and kicks to inflict damage, but there are additional moves that also shown glimpses of Devil Jin too.
Last month, Nina was also confirmed for Tekken 8 with a reveal trailer showing some of her movesets and redesign. As one of the core roster members it was no surprise Nina would be in Tekken 8 too. Alongside the reveal of Nina, Bandai Namco also confirmed that there would closed alpha tests for Tekken 8 over the coming months, with the studio looking to gather feedback from fans and players. However, these will be held “in selected locations around the world to gather feedbacks of the battle system.” The first alpha test will be held during Evo Japan.
Looking back on the last game, Tekken 7, we awarded it a mighty 9/10 in out review, saying: “Tekken 7 is a phenomenal fighting game experience and one I’d highly recommend. It’s by no means perfect, as the game is not without a few technical issues online, some long loading times, and minor continuity errors, yet as far as most people will be concerned, it delivers a stunning, up-to-date fighting game experience from one of the masters of arcade fighting games. A solid return to form.”
Tekken 8 will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
