Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for Scream 6. The highly-anticipated sequel will hit theaters this weekend on March 10.
After the most recent Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start somewhere new. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed), and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick also returned to write the script--a winning team that steered 2022's Scream to earn $30.6 million in its opening weekend.
Although critic reviews aren't yet published for the Scream 6, this new trailer features pull quotes praising the movie from Bloody Disgusting, Daily Dead, The Movie Podcast, Apollo Media, and other outlets.
Ortega and Barrera have mentioned how much more violent and gory this film is than the previous ones, with Ortega saying that «this is probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we’ve ever seen.» Which, in turn, has led to speculation that the movie might be leaning into gore, shock value, or «torture porn» conventions.
