Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge Will Feature Original TV Series Voice Actors
Dotemu just released 10 full minutes of gameplay for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge. You get to see all four Turtles in action, check out their combos, watch a few Foot soldiers get thrown at the screen, and then hear them shout “hi-yah!” and “cowabunga.” And fans of the original ‘80s cartoon might also notice that the voices of these Turtles sound awfully familiar.
According to IGN, “the four voice actors from the iconic '80s animated series return to voice the Turtles in this game." We didn’t get the specific names and there were actually several voice actors who portrayed the four Turtles in the ‘80s series, but we’re guessing it’s Cam Clarke (as Leonardo and Rocksteady), Barry Gordon (as Donatello and Bebop), Rob Paulsen (as Raphael), and Townsend Colemen (as Michelangelo). Dotemu even gave each voice a certain muffled quality to mimic the poor audio quality of the arcade games that inspired Shredder’s Revenge.

Besides hearing the Turtles in action once again, we also get to see a few of the game's mechanics thanks to the trailer. Each playable character will have a standard combo attack, a grab that allows them to throw or suplex enemies (and yes, that includes tossing them off-screen like in the '90s arcade games), and also a super ability that can take out multiple baddies at once. Players have a super bar that charges with each successful strike on an enemy and can be stored up to three times to ensure you've always got a super in your back pocket.
