Tears of the Kingdom's launch is less than 24 hours away, reviews are dropping, it's all starting to feel a little real isn't it? By this time tomorrow, a lot of us will be knee-deep in the latest Legend of Zelda game. One man already has a leg up on all of us though, revealing he has played the Breath of the Wild sequel from start to finish at least 20 times.
The team behind Tears of the Kingdom has been revealing all sorts of details about the game and its development via a series of Ask The Developer posts by Nintendo, including producer Eiji Aonuma's very impressive confession about how much he has been playing the game. “I've played this game from start to finish about 20 times, and I can say that it's more fun with detours, even more so than in the previous game,” Aonuma revealed.

Devs playing a game over and over ahead of launch to make sure there are as few problems as possible is naturally commonplace. However, one person playing a game the size of Tears of the Kingdom that many times is pretty remarkable. Even after all of that and the countless hours Aonuma has spent with the new Zelda game, he suggests there is still stuff in the new-look Hyrule that he hasn't seen yet.
“Even when sticking things together, there are so many different combinations that even I don't know all of them. I even discovered something new the other day while shooting the gameplay demonstration video... I've cleared the game many times myself and never felt bored once.” Aonuma also urges players not to rush for the ending when they play it for the first time.
