Tarisland is Launching on Steam in October, and New Promo Campaign Offers Rewards
Tarisland will launch on Steam sometime in October. The team announced a community wishlist campaign, with rewards to accompany the announcement.
The first announced community event on the path to the Steam launch is a quest to defeat the boss Aslow. No, this is not in game, this is a ‘quest’ by way of a wishlist promo campaign. If enough people withlist Tarisland on Steam–10,000, as of theofficial announcement over on Discord–then Aslow will be defeated. Once that happens, the team will be giving away 500 in-game reward codes that will offer Achromatic Crystals.
Other than this boss fight via wishlisting the game, it’s not clear if there will be other promos leading up to the Steam launch in a month, but it seems likely. Especially if the wishlisting promo campaign wraps up quickly.
Also coming in October is Season 1: Blight Dragon Elegy. The team didn't announce a release date for the season, but with the announcement of the Steam launch in October, it’s very likely that these will happen on the same day. At the very least, the season will almost certainly open up after Tarisland is available via Steam, to allow everyone to start the new season together.
The new season is set to open up a frigid new zone, complete with icebergs, tundras, strong cold winds, and lots of places to discover over in Scardino Icefield. The Northerners you'll meet offer new ways of doing things, like the Snow Lion Clan, an ancient race with skilled combatants, but strength accompanies an overall peace-loving intelligent people.
It's unclear if there will be any more pre-launch promo events, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see some more as we get closer to October.
