Tales of the Walking Dead debuts a brand new trailer at San Diego Comic-Con. AMC’s latest Walking Dead universe spinoff charts a new direction for the franchise by embracing anthology-style storytelling for the first time. Tales of the Walking Dead is set to feature six unconnected episodes starring a variety of characters, some familiar, some brand new.
Previous Tales of the Walking Dead teasers obviously already offered up a small taste of what’s to come from the anthology-style spinoff, including the return of Samantha Morton’s Alpha. The show's cast has also been revealed to include previously-unseen characters played by the likes of Terry Crews, Olivia Munn, Anthony Edwards and Parker Posey. And it's been made plain that the newest Walking Dead endeavor will feature a huge helping of the franchise's signature zombie mayhem.

The new San Diego Comic-Con trailer for Tales of the Walking Dead follows up on these previous teasers by showing eager TWD fans even more of what’s to come as the show unleashes six all-new stories. Alpha puts in another appearance in the clip, promising much more of Samantha Morton's portrayal. There's also a lot more of Crews, Munn, Edwards and the show's other stars. It certainly appears that Tales of the Walking Dead will go deeper than ever into Alpha's backstory, which was previously somewhat fleshed out by The Walking Dead.
