Take A Look At New Avowed Gameplay In This 27-Minute Long Deep Dive
Obsidian Entertainment has released a 27-minute gameplay trailer that showcases thrilling battles and intense combat sequences to give us a taste of what to expect from Avowed.
Though there was only a little footage shown during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, we did get a deep dive into the storyline and the cast of characters we will encounter. Today, the almost 30-minute video showcases what Avowed is all about, as the Game Director Carrie Patel gives us another deep dive into the development and gameplay.
Patel mentions that there is a lot of content coming together to give the title its final layer of polish as they are trying to push everything over the finish line. Though the story is discussed in even greater detail, we also get a look at the Emerald Stair region and a few of the creatures that reside there, such as the Sporelings. The video shows the player meeting the in-game character named Yatzli, a wizard who has a silly attitude and is filled with personality.
From this footage, we do notice that there are several dialogue choices, some of which have an icon next to them. These options with icons are dictated by a few different factors, such as options we choose during character creation and choices we make as we level up. Other dialogue choices are even tied to the different backgrounds we choose, meaning that the choices we make do matter throughout our playthrough.
There still is no concrete release date for Avowed, though we know we can expect the title sometime this year.
