Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Re-released after More than a Year of Maintenance!
Remember SAOVS, the action RPG by Bandai Namco that was launched in November 2022? Well, SAOVS aka Sword Art Online Variant Showdown has finally been re-released. It’s back after its ‘never-ending maintenance’ that started way back in September 2023.
Yeah, as per their announcement in August 2023, the maintenance was supposed to end this summer (2024). However, it took them even longer than a year to get the game up and ready. Apparently, the devs had some core functionality issues to fix, so they took their time.
They’ve dropped Battle Royal Season 1 where four players enter the arena and whoever racks up the most KOs wins. Pick your best team, throw yourself into League Matches and snag the Titles and accessories. The season’s running until December 30th.
If you were one of the loyal players who stuck around before the maintenance break, there’s a gift for you. The Returning Player Campaign is hooking you up with 5 [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets.
The Restart Celebration: Six Great Campaigns event is on too! You can score up to 100 free Scouts, rack up login bonuses and knock out some missions for epic rewards. This one is going until January 30th, 2025.
You also have a shot at grabbing SSR [Sword Spark] Mito, a Light-elemental fighter. Also, the new SSR Ability Cards ‘Destroyer of Destiny’ and ‘Seasoned Comrades’ are up for grabs, but only until January 6th, 2025.
