Suzuki has created a special concept car for Gran Turismo 7, and it’s awesome. So awesome, in fact, that we know it’ll never be built.
Called the Vision Gran Turismo, the car is based on the GSX-R4 concept from 2001and is powered by the screaming 1.3-litre inline-four from the Hayabusa sports bike. By itself it makes 140kW but the Vision Gran Turismo also factors in three electric motors, two at the front and one at the back.
That gives the whole car a combined output of 318kW, a 9700rpm redline and 610Nm of torque. I mean, does it get any better?
Plus it’s a two-seater roadster, it only weighs 970kg, features an angular design aped from the Swift Sport with a hint of the old Cappucino, and – obviously, since it’s from a video game – comes in a range of colours.

Inside is a digital pop-up display, gears are selected via paddle shifts and buttons on the centre console, while the wing mirrors are replaced by cameras feeding displays either side of the steering wheel.
Suzuki won’t build it, partly because it’s a Vision Gran Turismo car and they never get built, but also because it would cost the little carmaker an absolute fortune.
The Gran Turismo 7 update also includes the 2021 Toyota GR010 Hybrid and the Roadster Shop Rampage Camaro, as well as New Orleans as a location in the Scapes section.
