The upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach DLC Ruin could follow one of the survival horror game's best endings. While previous entries usually saw players sit stationary in a security office and activate doors to fend off bloodthirsty animatronics, the series' latest installment lets players actually move around in first-person. Freely exploring Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, the player must avoid bloodthirsty animatronics through their wit and the help of ally Glamrock Freddy. The FNAF: Security Breach DLC Ruinis set for a 2023 release, and the expansion will hopefully build upon the game's most interesting ending.

There are several different endings to Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, each one being unlocked depending on the player's actions. Choosing to leave the Pizzaplex early through an alley unlocks an ending where protagonist Gregory is stalked and presumably killed, while another ending lets Gregory and Glamrock Freddy escape through the mall's loading dock. Another potential ending sees Gregory and Freddy burn down the Pizzaplex using flammable plush toys. Other endings see the Pizzaplex closed for health reasons following the destruction of Freddy, or let Gregory escape with Freddy's still-living head. All FNAF: Security Breach endings are interesting, and each has distinct lore implications, but one ending in particular is especially intriguing.
