Bloomtown: A Different Story is a turn-based social JRPG set in a surreal world with a dark twist, from the makers of the excellent Graveyard Keeper. Think Stranger Things, by way of Stardew Valley, but with turn-based combat, and it arrives on PS5 and PS4 next month, on 24th September.
Set in a «seemingly pleasant 1960s Americana world», you play as Emily and her younger brother Chester, who's been sent on a summer holiday to their grandma's supposedly quiet, cosy town. But when children start to disappear, and the stuff of nightmares begins to touch reality, it's up to a small group of friends to band together to save the inhabitants of Bloomtown. You can get a better idea of what's in store with the trailer below.
