Talented comic book creators Mark Russell and Mike Allred are teaming up for the first time in a brand new DC Comics prestige series, Superman: Space Age, which will explore the hero through the ages and see him confront humanity's march towards self-destruction. The publisher revealed the three-issue series this week, as it brings the Eisner Award-nominated talents together to tell an epic story about the Man of Steel and how he's evolved against numerous threats over the years.
Mark Russell is a talented writer best-known for his Eisner-nominated run on The Flintstones for DC Comics with Steve Pugh and his GLAAD Award-winning Exit, Stage Left!: The Snagglepuss Chronicles with Mike Feehan for the publisher. Russell also worked on Fantastic Four: Life Story for Marvel Comics and Second Coming with Richard Pace for Ahoy Comics. Meanwhile, Mike Allred is a legendary comic artist who broke onto the scene with his iconic creation, Madman, while also drawing the Eisner-winningSilver Surfer for Marvel Comics and Bowie: Stardust, Rayguns, and Moonage Daydreams for Insight Comics. Now, the pair are teaming up for a new Superman prestige series.

On Monday, DC Comics revealed Russell and Allred would work together on Superman: Space Age. This new three-issue prestige series will follow Superman as new threats emerge through the decades as he balances trying to save a planet that's hellbent on destroying itself.
