Clark’s new power-up in Superman & Lois beats anything that Henry Cavill’s Superman was able to do in the DCEU. Superman & Lois season 2, episode 15, titled “Waiting for Superman”, delivered an epic conclusion to Clark’s conflict with Ally Allston. For the final fight, Clark received what was arguably one of his most memorable moments in the Arrowverse.
Long before the final showdown with Ally Allston, the Arrowverse series had already proven that Superman was the strongest force on the planet. Even fellow Kryptonians failed to match up with him in season 1. Over the course of the series, Clark has gained hard-fought wins over Steel, Tal-Rho, and Bizarro. But despite all the power he possesses, it wasn’t enough to take down Ally Allston after she merged with her Bizarro counterpart. So when Clark got his powers back, it took his full strength – and more – for him to gain the upper hand. In the Superman & Lois season 2 finale, Clark executed a daring plan to beat the villain. Thanks to a power-up from the sun, Superman was easily able to overpower and defeat the show’s version of Parasite.

What Superman & Lois just did with Clark overshadows all of Superman’s feats in the DCEU. Both are their respective universe’s strongest heroes, but the Arrowverse just took Tyler Hoechlin’s take on the Big Blue Boy Scout to a level that Cavill’s Superman was never able to go.
