The final episode of Superman & Lois season 2 wrapped up the show’s Bizarro World story with a huge Arrowverse reveal, a new Diggle tease, and several more noteworthy moments. Superman’s final showdown with Ally Allston closed the door on an important chapter in the lives of the Kents. With Ally beaten, the characters are free to move on to all-new dilemmas when the series returns for its third season.
For the first half of the season, there was a bit of uncertainty over who the season’s big bad really was. First, there were all the hints of Doomsday, but all that turned out to be one big red herring to mask the presence of Bizarro. But then, he wasn’t the main villain either. Further adding to the confusion was Anderson, whose dislike for Superman drove him down a dark path. But amid all the chaos, it became apparent that the real threat facing all of the show’s main characters was really Ally Allston. Merging with her counterpart from Bizarro World made her a challenging foe that even Superman himself wasn’t even able to beat – or at least, not until the finale.

Superman & Lois season 2, episode 15, titled “Waiting for Superman”, unsurprisingly put the fate of the Earth in Clark’s hands once again. Ally’s power-draining abilities had seemingly taken the Man of Steel out of the equation in the preceding episodes, thus forcing characters like Jordan, Steel, and Natalie to step up in his absence.
