Your Gmail inbox just got a huge makeover! Over the last 18 years, Gmail has been rolling out new features and updates to help people stay connected. Over the last few years, the pace of rolling out updates has increased, especially after the Covid pandemic. In the latest development, Google introduced a refreshed interface for Gmail users which pulls Google Meet, Google Chat, and Spaces all together under one roof. The latest update to Gmail includes elements from Google's Material Design 3. Google had announced this integrated view back in January 2022.
Google redesign of Gmail was revealed through a blog post, which said, "During the pandemic, we've seen a further evolution as tens of millions of people around the world started to move between email, messaging, group chat, and video calls as a part of managing their daily lives. To help people stay connected, we're bringing together Gmail, Chat, Spaces, and Meet in a single, unified view.” That's not all! Google also announced that you will see new improvements to Gmail for tablet users along with better emoji support, and more accessibility features soon.

When can you access the new Gmail integrated view? Actually, it has already started rolling out to all Gmail users who have turned on Chat. You'll see a clean, streamlined way to move between apps that you can customize based on what works best for you.
