A huge celebration is coming to the Nintendo Switch this year, with the new that will bring all new boards, minigames, and more to the franchise. The virtual board game series that is filled with minigames has been around in various forms since its original release in 1998 and features many beloved characters from the universe. It is a lighthearted and entertaining party game for groups to enjoy, with the option to play against AI-controlled bots as well if the chosen number of players is not available.
Revealed in the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, promises to be the biggest game to date. It comes packed with over 110 minigames, a 20-player online multiplayer mode, and many new boards to traverse. The most recent entry in the franchise,, was released for the Nintendo Switch in 2021, and this announcement surprised many with the concept that a new game would debut before the successor to the Switch console. However, new games for the series typically come out every two to three years, which means is actually right on time.
