The fourth season of the hit series Stranger Things is just around the corner, and a special one-off comic for Free Comic Book Day has confirmed that Eleven's trauma is going to be key to her character going forward.
The last season of Stranger Things before its hiatus ended with Eleven moving away from Hawkins with Will and Jonathan Byers. Given that the fourth season will see the gang all coming back to the place where strange things happen, it'll be interesting to see what motivates the Byers and Eleven to return for another bout with the Upside Down. However, the events of the past three seasons mean that Eleven is heading into Stranger Things' 4th season at her darkest point.

In Michael Moreci and Pius Bak's short Stranger Things tale, «Creature Feature,» the Byers and Eleven are shown going to a monster movie double feature at a Colorado drive-in. While Will and Jonathan settle in for the second movie though, Eleven is shown walking around the gift area to explore. Things take a turn though when she comes across an animatronic creature used to promote the double feature. Bad memories begin to trigger in Eleven's head when she encounters the fake creature. She remembers fighting off the Flayed at Starcourt Mall and the moment she lost her powers during the battle. What's worse though is that a group of bullies use some monster costumes to give her a panic attack. She ends up seeing some of Stranger Things' most powerful monsters like the Demogorgons and the Mindflayer.
