A sweet BTS image from Stranger Things season 4 shows Millie Bobby Brown directing her co-star, Martie Blair, who plays young Eleven. After almost three years since season 3 hit Netflix, audiences finally journeyed back to the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana where a series of terrifying supernatural occurrences are plaguing the town's residents once again. Directed by the Duffer Brothers, the 80s-inspired sci-fi series has enjoyed enormous success on the streaming service since it was first released in 2016, with Stranger Things season 4 setting a new record for the biggest opening weekend for an English-language show.
Stranger Things season 1 introduced Brown's character Eleven, a young girl with a host of superhuman abilities, who had been the subject of a number of secret government experiments. Throughout the series, Eleven has been the key to taking down the various creatures that have threatened her and her friends, with season 4 introducing its most horrifying bad-guy yet, Vecna. With Stranger Thigs season 4 set to release in two parts, volume 1 revisited a younger Eleven and revealed the shocking identity of Vecna, while offering a glimpse of the very moment Eleven opened the first gate into the Upside Down, an eerie alternate reality that runs parallel to the real world.
