Story Mode Nerub-ar Palace Now Available - Requires Completion of 1st Chapter of Max Level Campaign

The brand new Story Mode difficulty of Nerub-ar Palace is now available, allowing all players to complete the Queen Ansurek encounter and Azj-Kahet story finale in a significantly reduced difficulty.

With the weekly September 17th weekly reset, Story Mode Nerub-ar Palace is now available. Story Mode is a brand new difficulty that allows players to experience the culmination of the initial War Within campaign by facing off against a significantly reduced difficulty version of Queen Ansurek.

Queen Ansurek

Players will be able to enter story mode solo or in a group of up to 10 players. There are no rewards for defeating Queen Ansurek in Story Mode, however, the questline does provide rewards.

How to Unlock Story Mode

Unfortunately, unlocking story mode isn't as simple as switching the difficulty in-game. You'll need to first complete a short questline that we've detailed below:

• Prerequisite: Finish the first chapter of the max level War Within story campaign. You'll need to do this for each character you'd like to unlock the questline.
• Start the story mode questline by picking up the Our Chance to Strike quest from Webster (/way 31.6 62.8) in Dornogal.
• Complete the short questline in Azj-Kahet ending with To Kill a Queen where you'll now be able to queue for Story Mode by interacting with Kriz the «Loyal» (/way 31.4 64.5) in the City of Threads in Azj-Kahet.

Rewards

There are no rewards for defeating Queen Ansurek in Story Mode, however, the questline does provide some juicy final rewards and can be completed in any difficulty including Story Mode:

• 265x Valorstones
• 2500 Rep Vizier Commendation (One-time Warband bonus)
• 1400 Gold
