It looks like Starfield will be receiving its own version of the Creation Club this Sunday after an announcement during the yearly Xbox Games Showcase (slated to be broadcast starting at 10 AM Pacific Time).
Leaker Odahfield, who has been leaking Starfield info even before the game's launch, said as much on Twitter/X. He also confirmed that the first trailer for the story-driven Shattered Space DLC will be dropped during the Xbox Games Showcase alongside other Starfield news on the next updates, including a teaser for the addition of the space station building feature.
While Odahfield didn't get into specifics about Starfield Creations, it will likely be similar to Skyrim Creations. Bethesda Game Studios released it in late 2023 as an 'updated way for players to discover, download, and play community-made content'. Creations combines existing Mods, Creation Club items, and all-new Creations under a single Creations menu. If it's the same, then Starfield Creations should allow both free and paid mods and it will be up to the player to choose which ones to install.
It also stands to reason to share the official mod kit alongside the launch of Creations. This is, after all, what appears to be the new tease by Spanish leaker eXtas, who posted two images: one is from the movie Creation, and the other is a kit (ten).
The Starfield Creation Kit is most likely the previously teased first-party shadow drop that will take place at some point during the Xbox Games Showcase, then. That might be disappointing if you were hoping to get an actual new game to downlaod.
In other Starfield coverage, we recently interviewed The Wayward Realms studio OnceLost Games, who provided their perspective on what did not work as well as it could have in the procedural generation of Bethesda's latest game.
