While farming simulator Stardew Valley is an open-ended game allowing players to choose how to spend their days in the peaceful rural community of Pelican Town, it does feature a central goal of completing Bundles to restore the Community Center. The Junimos, apple-shaped fairies who dwell in the forests surrounding Stardew Valley, require the player to donate crops, fish, animal products, and other items in exchange for refurbishing the Center's neglected rooms. Once Stardew Valley players have completed the Community Center, the nefarious Joja Corporation shuts down their warehouse and leaves town.
Completing the Community Center is a lengthy task that typically takes players multiple in-game years and requires spending a significant amount of gold to purchase crop seeds, animals, and upgraded tools such as axes and fishing rods. The Version 1.5 update of the game, which was released in late 2020, allowed Stardew players to vary up the Community Center's requirements each play-through by enabling Remix Bundles, which need different combinations of ingredients when compared to the standard bundles released in the base version of the game.
