The Dangerous Mines are an alternative version of the Mines in Stardew Valley, albeit much more challenging. Reaching the bottom will take considerable skill and preparation as the floors feature new deadly enemies and hazardous environments. However, unlike the regular Mines or Skull Cavern, players cannot enter the Dangerous Mines without restriction. The Dangerous Mines are unlocked by completing a quest from the mysterious Mr. Qi in Stardew Valley.
Once players collect Golden Walnuts ×100 and gain access to the Golden Walnut Room on Ginger Island, they can begin to accept special quests similar to the Town Board in Pelican Town. Only Mr. Qi assigns these missions, which are considerably challenging in difficulty. Every Monday, players will be able to visit the Golden Walnut Room and accept two new quests that refresh each week. Completing these repeatable quests will reward players with Qi Gems, a valuable currency used to buy the rarest items in the game, such as the «Key To The Town,» a key that grants access to all buildings in town whenever the player wants.

Once Stardew Valley fans accept this unique objective, the Mine elevator will reset, and all the floors will overhaul with extreme difficulty. Additionally, players must reach the bottom floor of 120 within one week, raising the stakes of the quest.
