Stardew Valley has a variety of different activities to take on throughout its seasons. Apart from farming and fishing, players can enter one of the game's mines and collect ores and take on enemies there. These mines are some of the more dangerous places in Stardew Valley and one player showed off why in a devastating post.
Stardew Valley was released in 2016 and brings players to their grandfather’s old farm on the outskirts of a small town. The game is generally peaceful, with players given a certain amount of energy to use throughout their day. When entering Stardew Valley’s mines, however, players are often attacked by various monsters. As players will eventually find out, passing out to these can result in the loss of items.

This post by Reddit user TomatoManTM is brutal to see for those familiar with Stardew Valley and its late game items. In the screenshot, there is a long list of items that this player lost after dying in the mines, and it includes some incredibly valuable items. TomatoManTM lost 3 Galaxy Souls, 8 Emeralds, 2 Mega Bombs, and their Infinity Blade in this terrible moment. Galaxy Souls are very late game items that can be used to create some of the best weapons in Stardew Valley, the Infinity Blade, Infinity Dagger, and Infinity Gavel. Losing these Souls alone is horrible because of their rarity but coupled with the loss of the Infinity Blade, the ores and the Mega Bombs just adds insult to injury.
