Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Trailer May Feature Returning Jedi Padawan
Disney Plus has released the first trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 2.The new trailer features lots of action and the potential return of another character from The Clone Wars animated series.
The new trailer from Disney Plus forStar Wars: The Bad Batch season 2 opens with Clone Force 99 doing what they do best: fighting for their lives. The voice of Cid (Rhea Perlman) tells them that they can '«Buy their freedom,» to which Bad Batch leader Hunter replies, «we're already free.» Clearly, they are not out of the thick of it yet, as the evil Emperor Palpatine rises from his senate podium, lamenting that it's time for what he calls «a new era.» The rest of The Bad Batch season 2 trailer features the rogue clone trooper unit fighting their way across the galaxy as they search for new allies in the fight against the Empire.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Composers Confirm Older Omega In Season 2
One of those new allies is a Wookie Jedi Youngling named Gungi, who first appeared in the Clone Wars animated series. The Bad Batch season 2 trailer doesn't outright confirm that this is Gungi, but the resemblance is uncanny. Gungi first appeared in several episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars,where he was featured as part of a group of Jedi younglings. Gungi and his fellow younglings ventured to the planet Illum with grandmaster Yoda to find kyber crystals for their lightsabers, an old Jedi tradition. Illum was also featured in the video game Jedi: Fallen Order and canonically the planet was eventually turned into Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens.Gungi was also featured in a story arc in The Clone Wars where he and the other younglings faced off against some pirates with Jedi padawan Ahsoka Tano.
