It's been downhill for the Jedi ever since the days of the High Republic came to an end. Of course, the Clone Wars and Order 66 ensured that the order was all but crushed, culminating the tragic story of the once honoured peacekeepers. The recently announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set roughly 10 years after the events of Order 66, and will show the struggle that the remaining vestiges of the Jedi Order need to go through to survive.
In an interview on the official Star Wars website, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor director, Stig Asmussen revealed that things are going to look tough for Cal Kestis.

"The game is all about survival. That’s why it’s called Jedi: Survivor," said Asmussen. "They are in dark times, and Cal and the crew are doing whatever it takes to stay alive. That might mean that they are making connections with people that, in other times, might be considered unsavory. Some of that is portrayed in the trailer, and again, I don’t want to give anything away, but there’s definitely a sense of… I don’t want to spoil anything, sorry!"
That's the same vibe the short trailer gives off as well. It appears that the Sith and the Empire are closing in around Cal and his crew, who may have no choice but to make a deal with the devil.
Elsewhere in the interview, Asmussen talked about how the technology of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S have been leveraged to enhance the sequel.
