Netflix has just released a new trailer previewing all of its upcoming animated shows. Netflix After School, as the streaming giant calls it animated shows, will bring us 16 new and returning shows in the near future, including the long-awaited return of Sonic.
Besides giving us our first good look at Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, the trailer also provides us with our first look at Sonic Prime, the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog show that was announced last year. It’s just five seconds of Sonic reminding us all that he’s “good and powerful, apparently,” but it at least answers the question of just what Sonic will look like.

Although Sonic seems to have lost his stylish bandana from Sonic Boom, he's still got the same gloves, shoes, and general look as the previous cartoon. He’s also got an entirely new voice actor in Griffin Puatu, while former Tails voice actress Colleen O’Shaughnessey has been replaced by Jillian Michaels.
Still no release date on Sonic Prime to speak of, but Netflix promises it’ll arrive later this year alongside the likes of Battle Kitty, Samurai Rabbit, and the fourth season of Dragon Prince.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is still in theaters if you just can't wait for Netflix to satisfy your Blue Blur cravings. The movie has since become a verified blockbuster with $150 million at the domestic box office and has easily sailed past the first movie as the highest-grossing domestic video game movie of all time. That's also beating Uncharted and Detective Pikachu, which Sega has got to be proud of.
