SoMoGa Inc. has dropped a revamped version of Vay on Android, iOS and Steam. Vay is a classic 16-bit RPG that’s been brought back to life with slick new visuals, a revamped user interface and controller support.
Vay originally dropped in Japan in 1993 on the Sega CD. It was developed by Hertz and was localised for the US by Working Designs. In 2008, SoMoGa re-released the game on iOS keeping its spirit alive.
Vay revamped comes with over 100 enemies and a dozen epic bosses. You’ll be exploring more than 90 different areas, each one teeming with adventure. And one of the coolest features is its user-selectable difficulty levels.
Vay revamped also has an auto-save feature, so that’s a relief. Plus, the game supports Bluetooth controllers, letting you play how you want. You can buy new gear and items and as your characters level up, they learn new spells. There’s even an AI system for characters to fight autonomously.
The game is set in a distant galaxy where a massive interstellar war raged over a millennium ago. Amid the chaos, a colossal machine with a broken guidance system crashed into the planet Vay, a world with minimal technology. Programmed solely for destruction, this machine wreaked havoc, killing and destroying everything in its path.
Vay lets you embark on a quest to save your kidnapped wife and maybe the entire world too. Your peaceful kingdom is under attack on your wedding day, and your bride is snatched away. So, you begin an epic journey across the world to stop the nasty war machines.
Vay has a story that grips you right from the start, with a blend of nostalgia and newness. It sticks to its JRPG roots with characters gaining experience and gold from random encounters. The game has nearly ten minutes of animated cutscenes with both English and Japanese audio.
So, go ahead and check out Vay revamped on the Google Play Store. It’s a premium title that will cost you $5.99. Also, take a look at our other news. Unlock Love And Goodies With The Loving
