We’re officially into the month of Christmas, where Mariah Carey is inescapable, people open doors to retrieve tiny chocolates each day, and everybody’s eyes glaze over while trying to figure out what gifts to buy one another or while looking forward to whatever days off and holidays await at the end of the month.
There’s still a few big moments on the gaming calendar – Avatar is coming out, there’s The Game Awards, and some big, big reveal trailers – but let’s look at how November wrapped up last week.
Beyond the reviews, Dom went hands on with GranBlue Fantasy: Relink and was particularly taken with its visual stylings and action RPG battling, while I delved into Stellaris Nexus, which plays out a little like a digital board game adaptation of Paradox’s sci-fi grand strategy game. Jason, meanwhile, fell for the buff lions and deck building at the heart of Cross Blitz, as it heads into Steam Early Access.
And for everyone that’s struggling to find a gift for a gamer (or who needs some suggestions for their own friends and relatives), we have a little Christmas gift guide with some ideas.
Rounding out the week, What We Played featured Last Train Home, Forza Motorsport and Like a Dragon: Ishin.
STALKER 2 gets a new Strider trailer and confirms Q1 2024 release window
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Deadshot trailer released
Steve Fox is heading to Tekken 8
Let’s see what you’ve been playing.
And that’s a wrap for this week. Have a good weekend, stay warm, play some fun games, and we’ll catch you all soon!
