The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is, without a doubt, one of the most successful western RPGs to ever see the light of day. And despite the fact that it is quite a violent and gruesome title at times, it's also considered one of the best video games to induce mindfulness in its player base. This is likely due to the visuals, which, although they've aged over the years, many still consider quite breathtaking and even inspirational. Of course, there's always room for improvement and mods are always coming out to amend more than just the landscape's graphics.

In particular, there are a couple of mods that upscale the winged beasts of Skyrim to give them 8K textures, with images on the pages showing very detailed scales and bold coloring. One pack gives an overhaul of the general aesthetic of these magnificent creatures, while another adds 13 new dragon species with 8K textures.

Some may attempt to avoid them, but many like nothing more than going toe-to-toe with one that has swooped down and interrupted their journey. For these people, seeing them up close with 8K textures will be an interesting experience.
