Ever since HBO's Game of Thrones ended three years ago, fans have been patiently waiting for the day when they can once again revisit the mystical land of Westeros. Among them is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Ser Jamie Lannister himself, who recently said he was curious to see how the upcoming prequel series will turn out.
Coster-Waldau said that watching the House of the Dragon trailer seemed all too familiar. He admitted that it was «weird» to see the world of George R. R. Martin come back to life but in the best way possible, adding that the prequel's involvement of Miguel Sapochnik, the visionary director who oversaw some of the biggest episodes in Game of Thrones, will make for a «surreal» viewing experience. Coster-Waldau also wished the «incredible» cast all the success, knowing that being a part of the hit franchise will be a game-changer for them.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the Cannes Film Festival, Coster-Waldau couldn't end the interview without giving a shout-out to his fellow Game of Thrones castmates. Coster-Waldau made a heartfelt comment about his former co-stars, saying he misses his friends on the show and that they were truly a great group of people. He added that spending almost a decade together made them all closer to each other and that he really misses going to work and seeing the gang and the crew.
