Skydance Games has announced that their upcoming VR melee action game Skydance’s Behemoth will arrive on Meta Quest 2 and 3, PlayStation VR 2 and PC VR on 14th November.
Skydance will be out in force during Gamescom, offering all and sundry demos to sample the game – head to Hall 10, botth A-042 – as well as debuting a limited-edition graphic novel to delve into the setting of the Forsaken Landsand story. This has been penned by New York Times-bestselling author and game designer Matt Forbeck with illustrations by renowned comic artist Daniele Serra, with a small batch available each day from 21st to 25th August.
Following on from their acclaimed The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners games with an original new world, Skydance Games is shifting focus more in the direction of melee combat through dark fantasy world. The elephants in the room, though, are the titular Behemoths, huge creatures that you’ll have to battle, and which bring inevitable comparisons to Shadow of the Colossus.

I said that “Whether your VR headset sees regular use or has been gathering dust in recent months, Skydance’s Behemoth is shaping up to be a great reason to pop it on and fight through its blend of human-sized and gigantic enemies.”
