In an effort to prevent COVID-19 from spreading throughout the polygamous clan, Kody enacted a long list of strict social distancing rules. This guideline was unpopular with Janelle and Christine because the protocol effectively transformed Kody's plural marriage into a monogamous relationship with Robyn. Viewers, alongside Robyn's fellow sister wives, accused the fourth wife of influencing Kody's rules so he would spend the most time with her.
