There are several legendary creatures in Red Dead Redemption 2 for Arthur Morgan and John Marston to hunt down and catch, but the hardest one to tick off of the list may be the legendary bullhead catfish, and probably not for the reasons many would expect. The vast open world of RDR2 is populated in good portions by characters and creatures intent on causing harm to Arthur and John. From rival gang members and law enforcement to wild cougars, bears, and alligators, players will need to be on their toes when exploring the environment, even while on missions with fellow members of theVan der Linde gang, but the legendary bullhead catfish in RDR2 is one of the most challenging.
Fishing is an important activity in Red Dead Redemption 2, as it serves multiple functions. It's used as a bonding activity between multiple members of the Van der Linde gang, with Arthur taking John and Abigail's son Jack fishing in the opening act, and Arthur accompanying Dutch and Hosea in Lemoyne while they reminisce about the gang's glory days. Fishing is also an easy way to supply food to Pearson, the camp cook, as it's less time-consuming than hunting for game and larger fish can provide multiple meals. As Arthur or John, players can also take part in a Stranger Mission, called A Fisher of Fish, where they meet a supposed legendary fisherman and hunt down various legendary fish-types dotted across Red Dead Redemption 2's map. One of these is the legendary bullhead catfish in RDR2, which can only be found in a specific area of the map.
