With our Patch 9.2.5 datamining, we've found a couple interesting Blood Knight themed cosmetic items for Blood Elf Paladins! Not to be confused with the original Blood Knight mail gear available as Burning Crusade BoE drops, these are new high resolution textures matching the armor worn by Blood Elf Paladin NPCs in Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands. So far, only a helmet and belt have been found, but we can expect the rest of the gear will make its way in as Patch 9.2.5 datamining continues.Blood Knight's Dedication Helm and Blood Knight's Dedication Belt are the first new Blood Knight themed armor pieces datamined in Patch 9.2.5, and while the rest of the items are still desperately in need of updating, they still go well with the original Blood Knight Tabard.
The original Blood Knight gear was an unofficial set of mail greens found as BoE drops in TBC, while the new helmet and belt are much more modern looking. The Blood Knights are an order of Paladins led by Lady Liadrin, made up of Blood Elves who canonically lost their faith in the power of the Holy Light, but regained similar powers by leeching Light energy from the naaru M'uru.
Though this was cut off when M'uru was taken to Sunwell Plateau by Kael'thas Sunstrider and drained of its energy to become the void god Entropius, its defeat allowed the Prophet Velen to reignite the Sunwell, revitalizing the Blood Knights with a new and sustainable source of power.
