Out of all the content packs for , the occult-themed ones are usually the ones that EA knows how to do best. With supernatural worlds, interesting items in Build Mode and Create-A-Sim, and, of course, the variety of engaging Live Mode features, the occult packs for make the core game considerably more interesting. One pack that did this extremely well was , which was released as a Game Pack in 2019. However, despite the pretty generous amount of content, it could definitely have been developed into an expansion pack.
game pack introduced plenty of exciting new features into the game. From the ability to become the occult type of Spellcaster, to learning new spells and brewing potions, not to mention the unique clothing and furniture items that came with this pack, was the real deal. With a magical realm featuring a town similar to Harry Potter's Diagon Alley, provides a lot of content to explore. However, the game could have been expanded with one feature that seemed to be missing from the pack: a magic school.
While attending the Magic Realm and taking part in magical training with each of the three available tutors is part of the natural progression as a Spellcaster, lacks a magic school system that would have significantly elevated its experience. It feels that EA might have missed a trick here, sleeping on the opportunity to incorporate some sort of academy where Spellcasters could be enrolled to attend a variety of magical classes like potion-making, and classes specializing in each of the different categories of spells.
Although later expansion packs like had pros and cons in terms of the high school system, a similar system for could have been quite a success. The path to completing the Spellcaster's knowledge in can be completed relatively quickly, so adding in a system where they can attend various classes, engage in different magical extracurricular activities, and interact with other Spellcasters would have been beneficial to make the game pack into more
