Mascot Yamachan from The Sims 4: Snowy Escape expansion pack has been breaking into a player's home and obsessively baking cakes. One of many Sims 4 DLCs, Snowy Escape was released in late 2020 and offers a brand new in-game world set in snowy Mt. Komorebi. Since the base game's release in 2014, The Sims 4 franchise has released a huge amount of DLC content that adds new places, features, and items to the game. The base game itself has sold over 36 million copies and is one of the most popular simulation games of all time.
The Sims 4: Snowy Escape adds the world of Mt. Komorebi, a Japanese-inspired mountain town. In it, Sims can visit hot springs, ski, snowboard, and participate in different town festivals such as the Festival of Light and Festival of Youth. Another prominent feature of The Sims 4: Snowy Escape is the town mascot Yamachan. Although it is unclear exactly what type of creature Yamachan is supposed to represent, the mascot is a cutesy green creature with a cozy cold-weather hat. Multiple statues of them can even be seen throughout town, often with the mascot nearby, who will take selfies with Sims. The Sims 4 has long had a strange feature — or bug -that player residences will often be visited by NPCs who proceed to make themselves at home, doing things like taking naps, making food, and more.

A Reddit user shared that in their game, Yamachan has been coming into their home and repeatedly baking cakes in their kitchen, even after locking their doors. Even though the world of Mt. Komorebi has an option to turn off Yamachan visits, that has not worked either, with the mascot continuing to return to the player's home. Some players in the comments
