Laura Dern describes what the relationship of the returning cast is like in Jurassic World: Dominion. Originally announced in 2018, the upcoming film will be the third in the Jurassic World trilogy and the sixth in the franchise. Dern and Sam Neil will return to the series to reprise the roles of Doctor Sattler and Doctor Grant, their first appearance since 2001's Jurassic Park 3. They will also be reunited with Jeff Goldblum's Ian Malcolm, a combination that hasn't graced the franchise since the 1993 original.
Following on from the events of Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom, Dominion takes place in a world where dinosaurs and humans live side-by-side. After the Lockwood Estate incident and the dawning of the neo-Jurassic age, as coined by Malcolm, humans must adjust to a world where the once-extinct creatures roam the wilderness, and question whether they are to remain the apex predators on earth. Alongside Dern, Neil and Goldblum, Jurassic World: Dominion will also see the return of trilogy-regulars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, alongside Justice Smith, Omar Sy and BD Wong. It looks as if fans of the series have reasons to be excited about the long-awaited reunion, as Dern is teasing what's in store.
