Silent Hill 2 remake has a new update that makes a number of important fixes across all platforms.
According to the patch notes, below, update 1.06 fixes the graphical issues reported on PlayStation 5 Pro as well as PS5-specific issues with counting achievements. Silent Hill 2 was among a number of games affected by visual problems on the $700 PS5 Pro, with fans reporting a shimmering effect over many parts of the game.
The patch makes a number of gameplay changes, too, including a fix for door markers in Brookhaven Hospital, and an improvement to extended movement spots to fix enemies clipping issues. Expect improved boss animations and, in response to player feedback, breathing skin walls during the Abstract Daddy Boss Fight have been restored.
