A new sneak peek for Shazam! Fury of the Godssees Zachary Levi's titular hero literally teasing the audience ahead of the highly-anticipated sequel. Originally scheduled for an April 2022 release, the follow-up to the 2019 DCEU movie has had to contend with multiple delays, mostly having to do with COVID-related production complications and the subsequent shuffling of release dates at Warner Bros. Fury of the Gods is now set to finally hit theaters in December.
While the release date is still a ways off, the publicity blitz to promote the movie has already started. For the first time since 2019, DC and Warner Bros. will have a physical presence at San Diego Comic-Con and they're making up for lost time with an already exciting line-up of presentations and panels announced, including events surrounding various TV projects like The Sandman andHarley Quinn season 3. Dwayne Johnson has already been hyping his own SDCC panel for the upcoming Black Adam movie, a character that was actually supposed to debut in the first Shazam! movie. Now the Shazam! sequel has been added to the lineup.

In a tweet announcing that Fury of the Gods will have a presence at this year's SDCC, the Shazam! Twitter account shared a short video to raise excitement for the film. The clip doesn't show much besides brief shots of Shazam's boots and gauntlets before cutting to the hero almost entirely cloaked in shadow. He asks, "Sup?" and just as it seems like there's going to be new footage from the sequel revealed, he follows that up with,«Me again. Just being a tease.» Check out the clip below:
