Dwayne Johnson announces and hypes up a major Black Adam panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2022 in an incredible new video. The Rock has been attached to the role of Black Adam for over a decade, though his solo debut is finally gearing up for its release later this year. Directed by Jungle Cruise's Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam is intended as a spin-off ofShazam!, which will chronicle the titular anti-hero's origin story as a slave from Kahndaq who is granted powers by the ancient wizard Shazam and imprisoned for thousands of years for abusing his abilities.
Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson leads theBlack Adam cast as the title character facing off against the Justice Society of America, who are also making their DC Extended Universe debuts. This includes Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Following years of the DC project languishing in development and also being derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Adam finally finished filming last month. Now, with the film set for a theatrical release in October, more exciting news has arrived.
