John William Galt, the actor who played Lo Wang in the original Shadow Warrior game, has died. He was 81 years old.
Galt's death was reported by E1M1 Magazine (via PC Gamer) which wrote that Galt died on January 29. Galt's career spanned 64 years across movies, television, and video games, with Galt providing the voice to many iconic characters.

Born April 4, 1940, Galt's career began in 1958 after winning an Air Force talent contest which saw him touring with The American Forces Network.
"I toured with Johnny Grant's Operation Starlift with Angie Dickinson and June Blair and Roscoe Ates and all kinds of actors that I had heard about as a youth and was delighted to meet and work with. And that's how it started really,” Galt said in a 2019 interview with YouTuber Jake the Voice. “When I got out of the Air Force I went professional."
Galt's first credit on his IMDB page was on the Paper Moon TV series in 1974. Highlights include a role on Walker, Texas Ranger, and playing the voice of several US presidents in Forrest Gump and JFK. Most recently, Galt played several roles on The Cyanide & Happiness Show.
Galt began his career in gaming as the voice of Lo Wang in the original Shadow Warrior in 1997. He also played a voice in Balls of Steel, a pinball game with a comedic bent and a Duke Nukem tie-in. Galt also played Grandpa Enisi in Prey and multiple voices in Deus Ex. Other credits include Nocturn, Daikatana, and Shadow Warrior 2.
In Shadow Warrior 3, Lo Wang will be played by Mike Moh. Shadow Warrior 3 is rumored to arrive on March 1.
